Highly recommended. SBG Orkney led by Mick take a step-by-step approach in taking me through BJJ basic in a systematic, yet practical way. This course not only helps with general fitness but also with overall confidence and self-defence skills. It’s also suitable for all fitness levels. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the BJJ course to anyone who may be completely new to it or have background in other combat sports. The classes are conducted in a very friendly and professional manner, with egos left outside of the gym.

Great Club. I am just starting as a beginner. I have been welcomed in and have learned a lot in just a few weeks. Great friendly welcoming environment. Definitely recommend to any one thinking about learning BJJ.

The beginners course was well structured, expertly delivered and very enjoyable. A well equipped and professional training environment supported a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, already fostering the feeling of a long-established “club”. Great!

An actual proper BJJ club in Orkney! Exactly what the place has been lacking. I had the pleasure of having my first class with the club yesterday and it exceeded my high expectations on professionalism and being accommodating for all skill levels. It doesn’t matter if you’re an absolute beginner or have some sneak attacks up your sleeve, you’ll be welcomed with open arms. With the affiliation to SBG there’s a glimmer of hope that there’s seminars to follow in Orkney in the near future!

I’ve recently joined SBG Orkney BJJ club and thoroughly enjoyed it. The instructor Mick was really friendly, welcoming and accommodating. I definitely recommend giving it a go!
